Midas Royal by Rough Crafts, a modern arrangement of the Royal Enfield Continental GT.

Extremely small and light, the Midas Royal by Rough Crafts was on show at the 30th Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show (HCS). The Royal Enfield Continental GT served as the framework. Every part of it radiated a powerful sense of motion.

The idea is called "endurance cafe."

The "Continental GT650" and "INT650" were introduced by Royal Enfield at EICMA in 2017, and the commercial variants were unveiled the following year. Along with the unveiling of the commercial model, the Misadas Royal handled by Roughcraft was unveiled at the Royal Enfield display at EICMA. Winston Ye, a Taiwanese custom builder and the owner and designer of Roughcraft, recently attended the HCS. He himself rode the Misadas Royal to start the event.

The Misadas Royal is modelled after an old-school endurance vehicle. The standard tank is appropriately mounted inside the tank cover that covers the tank and the front cowl, which seems to be a half cowl. The cover, often referred to as the split cowl, has the look of a bird folding its wings and conveys the impression of being energised and poised to fly at any moment. For a sporty feel, the rear suspension has been monoshocked. The wheels are substantially lighter because they are constructed of carbon.

The tank cover seems to be a part of the front cowl when viewed from the side. The standard tank is really inside the tank cover but there is no indication of it.

The silhouette of a bird with its wings folded on the tank cover conjures up the energy immediately before takeoff.

The rear seat cowl has the appearance of a racing licence plate. Although the front cowl is small, it has a distinct face.

The silencer is made by SC Project, but the exhaust pipe is a one-off by hand bending. The exhaust pipe passes through, enveloping the round and classical engine. It is also a part that expresses the beauty of this machine.

BST uses carbon in the creation of the wheels. Berlinger unifies the brake area, while Ohlins inverts the front fork.

The Midas Royal was specifically built with a one-of-a-kind swingarm and converted to a mono-shock setup from the Continental GT's original dual shock configuration. Naturally, the frame was rebuilt as well.

There are no metres in the very uncomplicated and small cockpit. Brembo manufactures the brake master cylinder.

The Rough Crafts representative, Mr. Winston, visited the HCS and spoke with many Japanese fans.
