Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has announced the official price of the 2023 Yamaha NMax, which is now RM9,798 excluding registration fees and insurance. This is an RM300 increase over the 2022 NMax's official price, which was announced in July. This update includes two new colours: red and blue.
The same 155 cc single cylinder VVA engine with electronic fuel injection will power the 2023 NMax as before. A continuously variable transmission and belt final drive are used to deliver 14.9 hp at 8,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm to the rear wheel.
The Malaysian market 2023 NMax has a more basic specification set than other markets, missing the Y-Connect suite, traction control, ABS, gas-charged rear shocks, and the smart key system. However, the Malaysian market entry still includes automatic stop and start, which can be turned on or off.
Fuel capacity remains at 7.1 litres, with underseat storage holding the equivalent of 23.3 litres. Suspension is provided by a telescopic fork in front and twin shock absorbers in the rear, both of which are preload adjustable. Each wheel is equipped with a single 230 mm hydraulic disc brake.
The wet weight of the 2023 NMax is 130 kg, and the seat height is 765 mm. Front and rear tyres are 110/70-13 and 130/70-13, respectively. The instrumentation is provided by an LCD panel, which is accessed via a menu toggle on the left handlebar pod. A 12-volt socket can be used to power electrical devices.
